Parents of Fort Drum is a community-run initiative that facilitates the sharing of donated items among Fort Drum families. All items are donated by community members and are provided as-is. Parents of Fort Drum does not inspect, test, certify, or guarantee the condition, safety, or suitability of any item.

Families are responsible for reviewing items prior to use and determining whether an item is appropriate for their household. By requesting, receiving, or using items, participants acknowledge and accept full responsibility for their use.

Parents of Fort Drum does not manufacture, sell, alter, or endorse any products. Participation is voluntary.

Pickup and delivery services are offered as a convenience. Parents of Fort Drum is not responsible for injuries, accidents, losses, or damages that may occur during pickup, delivery, or use of any donated item.

Optional monetary support and delivery fees are used solely to help offset operational costs and are not payments for goods or services.

By participating in any program, families acknowledge that Parents of Fort Drum and its organizers are not liable for claims, damages, or injuries arising from donated items, transportation, or participation in the program.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. All items available in the Donation Closet are donated by community members and provided at no cost to military families at Fort Drum, NY.

  • The Donation Closet is sustained entirely through community donations. Families share items their children have outgrown, and those items are redistributed to other Fort Drum families at no cost. This shared model allows resources to circulate within the community without financial exchange.

  • The Donation Closet is intended to support military families and government employees assigned to Fort Drum. Access is limited to ensure resources remain available to the community it serves.

  • Donations are coordinated through the website. Families may drop items off on base or arrange pickup when available. Detailed instructions are provided on the support page.

  • Families may pick up items on-base at no cost. Local delivery is available for a mileage-based fee.

    At checkout, pickup is the default. For delivery, after checkout, you must message us stating you want delivery. You must provide and address and a few timeframes. Payment is made before delivery.

  • Quantity limits may be applied to help ensure fair distribution. Any and all limits will be noted in the item’s description.
