About Us

Life at Fort Drum comes with unique demands. As one of the most deployed military installations in the country, families stationed here often navigate frequent separations, rapid transitions, and changing household needs while balancing the realities of military service. Parents of Fort Drum was created to help meet those everyday challenges through shared community resources.

At the heart of our work is the Donation Closet—a shared space where baby and maternity items donated by community members are made available to Fort Drum families at no cost. Children grow quickly, seasons change, and what works for one family one month may be outgrown the next. The Donation Closet allows those items to continue serving families rather than being stored, discarded, or repurchased.

The program is designed to be simple, respectful, and accessible. Families can browse available items online and arrange pickup without navigating public posts or one-to-one exchanges. Our goal is to remove barriers and make support available in a way that feels calm, private, and dignified.

Parents of Fort Drum operates as a community-run initiative. We facilitate the sharing of donated resources but do not sell items or require payment to participate. Optional support helps cover basic operating needs so these programs can continue serving families stationed at Fort Drum.

Through the Donation Closet, we aim to strengthen community connections and provide practical support for military families navigating the demands of life at one of the Army’s most active installations.
